In 1904, a 35-year old Irish stonemason named James Keelty built a few homes on Calvert Street near where Mercy Medical Center stands today. In the 30’s, Keelty brought and began constructing Rodgers Forge, one of North Baltimore’s first suburban townhome communities. In 1960, Keelty pioneers a new approach to real estate development, designing and building mixed-use communities.
